Rich This is an amazingly good list. I’ve been watching MHZ and AcornTV for years now and have watched many of the titles you cite. I’m one of the ones old enough to have read the later Beck books as they came out. The people who say they changed the genre are right, and I totally agree that the tv series is worth searching out. Only the characters remain in the series but they are meaty characters. But how could you have given only a single title line for Commisario Montalbano? For a while MHZ was available over broadcast here in Los Angeles and I couldn’t have had a better introduction to European mysteries than that series.
